7 Benefits of Drinking Coffee

Believe it or not, for many, drinking coffee is a sort of motivation just to wake up in the morning. According to some studies, Coffee is the most popular beverage after water. Although coffee has some negative impacts on health, its many advantages overshadow those disadvantages. Thanks to its high levels of antioxidants and beneficial nutrients, it also seems to be quite beneficial to one's health. Studies show that coffee drinkers have a much lower risk of developing several serious diseases. This includes common things such as eating healthy and exercising, but drinking coffee may be incredibly effective as well. Several studies show that coffee drinkers have up to 65% lower risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.

5. Lowered risk of Parkinson:

Parkinson's disease is the second most common neurodegenerative condition, right behind Alzheimer's. It’s caused by the death of dopamine-generating neurons in your brain. One team concluded that men who drink over four cups of coffee per day might have a five times lower risk of developing Parkinson's disease than those who do not. Even newer research done in Sweden revealed that drinking coffee reduces the risk of developing Parkinson’s disease even when genetic factors come into play.

People who drank a moderate amount of coffee each day had an 11% lower risk of heart failure than those who did not. It’s often claimed that caffeine can increase blood pressure. Regular black coffee (without milk or cream) is low in calories. A typical cup of black coffee only contains around 2 calories. However, adding cream or sugar will increase the calorific value. Coffee beans also contain polyphenols, which is a type of antioxidant. Antioxidants can help rid the body of free radicals, a type of waste product that the body naturally produces as a result of certain processes. A cup of brewed coffee represents the consumption of up to 1.8 grams of fiber, from the recommended intake of 20-38 grams each day, which is essential for having a healthy bowel.
